This is junk! Natalie Portman � very pretty girl, very ugly haircut � is dullsville as an actress. Dustin Hoffman turns in his worst performance ever. Justin Bateman seems totally uncomfortable in his role. The only actor worth his salt in this thing is the boy actor who strangely seems to have hours on end every day to spend in a toy store. The plot is nearly nonexistent, the emotional arc of the story simply doesn't work, the special effects are not attractive. Maybe the best thing one can say about this movie is that the only thing it will offend is your aesthetic sense.

OK, the best thing about this movie is Natalie Portman. Natalie Portman wearing cute dresses, sipping coffee, smiling, twirling, giggling, looking at me wantonly from the screen of our local dollar theaters. How did she know I was soldered to my yucky theater chair, heavy with curse of love. I love you Natalie Portman. Be with me!

I was highly disappointed in this movie. I had such hopes about it too, mainly because Dustin H. was in it. The movie had no story line. I keep waiting for something to happen and it never did. It wasn't even interesting to my niece (3yrs). She kept asking when the bee's were going to come out. (Bee Movie Awesome.) Please do not waste your money on this movie.

Mr. M was a HUGE disappointment. I nearly fell asleep several times. The best part of the experience was the cheese and soft pretzels. Dustin's character was incredibly lame (and I like Dustin H!). The plot kept hinting and promising something would happen, but it never did happen. The symbolism of the wooden cube was not well thought out. Bottom line - stinker.

A very creative movie with wonderful technology. This movie has the messege of believing in yourself in all circumstances but the general audience of youngsters that view the movie miss it. It is deep and at the same time a bit boring. I noticed sleepy parents and flying popcorn at the theater I attended.
